I first discovered my love for photography as a freshman in high school when I enrolled in a film class. I quickly became fascinated with shooting on film and developing photos in the darkroom. Throughout high school and into college, I took every photography class I could, exploring both film and digital mediums.
After graduating from college, I realized photography was more than just a hobby. I invested in my first professional full-frame camera, and that’s where everything truly began.
As a Native Hawaiian born and raised on Oʻahu, my connection to these islands runs deep. This connection has shaped who I am, and deeply influences how I see and capture the world. For me, photography has always been about more than just documenting a moment — it’s about preserving the feeling you have in the moment, just as much as the memory itself.
